　　The day before yesterday, a certain person's appearance caused some controversy in the group on the text website. Yesterday afternoon, I watched several funny videos that impressed me. These two events made me realize the importance of character.

　　The topic of the controversy in the group was mainly about classical Chinese poetry. Since I don't understand classical Chinese poetry, I can't say anything specific, and I don't like to talk badly about people behind their backs, so I don't want to mention what happened in the group.

　　Instead, let me talk about some funny videos I watched yesterday afternoon. I mainly saw videos of scammers setting up stalls on the street to cheat people out of money. The scammers, for their own selfish gain, would solicit passersby or students to buy things.

　　The first funny video I saw was about an older woman selling spicy strips on the street. It seemed that she would ask customers to buy spicy strips for 100 yuan, and she would return the 100 yuan after eating a pack. First, a woman came in, ate the spicy strips, and felt that they were too spicy, so she left without hesitation. The older woman made 100 yuan this way, completely oblivious to the fact that her actions were excessive. Then a female student came along. Initially, the student found the spicy snacks very spicy, but she insisted on eating them, encouraged by the older woman who said she might earn back the 100 yuan after finishing them. The student then devised a plan: she ate the spicy snacks while drinking mineral water. The scammer went bankrupt.

　　The second funny video also features the same older woman setting up a stall, this time selling eggs against stones. She said that for 10 yuan, she could break an egg and get 100 yuan in return. A couple came along and broke an egg with a stone, but the older woman refused to pay, insisting the stone had to break first. The couple stormed off, calling the older woman a scammer and denying any wrongdoing. The older woman, having cheated them, completely disregarded their words and even seemed amused. Then the female student who had eaten spicy snacks earlier came back. The older woman, worried she'd ruin her business, said she wouldn't do business with her anymore, but the student refused to leave. The woman had no choice but to let her be. The student initially tried to break the egg against the stone, but the egg broke. The woman refused to accept the breakage and insisted the stone break. The student, quick-witted, put the egg on the ground and smashed it with the stone. The stone broke, and so did the egg. Now the woman was helpless, watching as the student broke all the eggs and the stone, not only going bankrupt but also having her phone taken.

　　The third funny video shows a conman setting up a stall, asking people to write the character "田" (field) using four "7"s in one stroke. A female student came and also wrote the character "田" in one stroke. However, after she finished, she discovered the conman had run away and chased after him, yelling at him for breaking his promise. The conman hid behind a car, admiring the female student's cleverness, and even remarked that making money through such crooked means was ultimately unworkable!

　　Seeing this, I couldn't help but laugh, but at the same time, I sighed inwardly. This is the consequence of not making money honestly. I must say, these videos have broadened my horizons.

　　I don't know any famous quotes about morality written by ancient people, nor do I know how to give examples of "morality," but I think morality is very important to a person. I believe that a person of high moral character will be welcomed wherever they go. Although this is a dog-eat-dog world, I think no one would want to associate with someone of low moral character!
