Even two people with completely identical circumstances will make different choices. No two leaves are exactly alike, just as no two people are exactly the same. Therefore, people are truly incomparable. Fate, like the veins on a leaf, follows its own path.
Everyone wants different things—a simple truth many have forgotten. They insist on pursuing the same things: ostentation, uniform aesthetics, a chaotic lifestyle, materialism, a love-obsessed mentality, ambition, and aspirations. This is terrifying. If only one person fits this uniform standard, then those without it aren't even human; they're just losers or what you call "diaosi" (a derogatory term for a loser). Frankly
, this uniformity strikes me as rubbish, as if everyone has been brainwashed overnight.
The value of a person lies in self-awareness, self-reflection, and self-discipline. If you don't look at your own fate and circumstances, but constantly compare yourself to others and standards, who will be confused if not you? Who will be fooled if not you? What's terrifying is being fooled and then imposing your own judgment on others.
I simply believe that prioritizing love above all else, pursuing sexiness, being materialistic, lewd, pornographic, stupid, blindly worshipping foreign things, blindly hating one's own country, doing crazy things under the guise of religion or patriotism, being anti-intellectual, calling traditional culture dross, advocating sexual liberation and sexology, and promoting youth culture and fashion trends—all these things done without thinking are garbage. That's my opinion, and I'll respond to you the same way because it's my own experiential choice after careful consideration.
Everyone wants different things. Asking me why I don't have what I don't want, acting like you're a loser, is so stupid it leaves me speechless. What
you hate is exactly what I like: discipline, traditional culture, conservatism, religion, science, professionalism—the very rules and constraints you dislike are precisely where I find meaning. You pursue flamboyance, I admire restraint; you pursue recklessness, thinking it's a sign of rich life experience, I think it's cheap. It's because of differing values, so what's the point of saying anything? Why try to advise me on how to be a person, acting like you're so perfect? Everyone in this era is narcissistic, everyone thinks they're the center of the universe. If I don't shatter your illusions, you'll forget how to be a human being.
