We often lash out at those who love us, while showing boundless patience to those who are insignificant. Many people are probably like this, especially our parents. Undoubtedly, our parents are the people who love us most in this world; whether you are rich or poor, they will never abandon you. But how do we treat them? We ignore their admonitions, dismiss their earnest concerns as meddling, and if they say too much, we resort to verbal abuse or even physical violence.
Recently, while I was doing my own thing, I overheard someone say, "Are you sick?" Listening closely, I realized a classmate was on the phone with her mother. Just because she said a few extra words and asked a small question, she lost her patience and started yelling and cursing at her mother. I don't know how her mother felt, but as an outsider, I couldn't stand it.
Many people are like this now. Remember, you are an adult now. They have no obligation to care for you or protect you anymore; you need to shoulder everything alone. They care about you and give you advice because they are afraid you will get hurt, because they love you! But what have you done for them? They call you with such joy, and you respond like this? Have you considered their feelings?
Conversely, if your children treated you this way in the future, how would you feel? Put yourself in their shoes; they're not bothering you for no reason, but because they love you and want you to be happy.
In short, don't take other people's concern for granted. No one is obligated to accept your bad temper, and likewise, you have no right to hurt those who love you, especially your parents.
